Inclusive Living by Design is a not-for-profit organization working with young adults with special needs for the purpose of modifying homes to meet their needs so they may live independently in a community that promotes inclusion and social interactions..

Finding and designing homes that match the needs is the first step. Everyone is unique and our goal is to provide a home within your budget, an open floor plan where you can move around freely, a kitchen where you can safely prepare meals, room to socialize and have friends over. Homes that are located near grocery stores, neighborhood parks, retail stores, and have access to public transportation.
Our goal is finding those communities where you can feel included. Communities that have activities that promote involvement. We will help you learn about and sign up for activities that keep you active as much your time allows…

We want you to have the experiences all that your community has to offer.
Choosing a roommate is a very important step. One that only you can make. We want you to have the experience of learning how to live with a roommate in a safe environment that allows you to have a voice and we promise to listen. Asking questions, bringing in experts that provide tools needed when learning to live with others. This is a new experience for some, and our promise is to provide you with the tools you need to find the perfect one.
And finally we want you to never feel alone. Getting involved and staying active is the key….We will provide a monthly calendar and help you fill it up. Community activities, bingo, movie night, board games, video games, walks in the park, learning yoga, just to name a few….We will bring in volunteers to support you along the way.
And to the parents, our hope for you is to know what it feels like just being a parent……and not always the caregiver…Know that they will make mistakes along the way just like we did as we were becoming independent…be there to teach them, guide them, provide them with love and support along this journey. We believe they will find their way just like we did….Inclusive Living by Design will be there with you, the parents, along this journey…..

The mission of Inclusive Living by Design is to assist young adults with special needs to achieve greater independence by providing housing options and promoting the public’s understanding and acceptance of their rights, needs and abilities.
